Living Stations was mostly a good idea- especially since they invited the congregation to follow them around the church from Station to Station, so it wasn't just an exercise in sitting in one pew for 30 minutes. Daddy carried her in the procession (I needed to stay in the pew because I can't kneel at this stage in the pregnancy without kneelers!) and she was well behaved and even paid attention...until the last 2 or so Stations when the procession basically stayed in one place and she wanted to climb on the kneelers in a nearby pew and grab at the shoes of the people around her (???)...*sigh* We tried. The Geekshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10359089813705587325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807658317973663626.post-49069473286102215152017-04-07T04:44:20.294-07:002017-04-07T04:44:20.294-07:00I, too, have had little success with my 4 year old...I, too, have had little success with my 4 year old during Stations... I am suspecting another year or two, and then I can expect him to be a little more participatory. By then, though, his sister will be in the age zone... That said, Ginny from Not So Formulaic shared a great article to help enhance kids' participation by having them make their own paper bag booklet - I'll try to find the link and leave it on your FB page. Tonight, I am arming myself with some coloring pictures from each Station, and will have my 4 year old color the page that corresponds to each station. Then, this next week, I am hoping to put it together in a paper bag book with him to use next Friday, and throughout the year when we attend Adoration.

Good luck with tonight's... sometimes they just need to be prepared and warned. And, you are *not* alone!! Three weeks ago, I was dragging my son down the hallway to the fellowship hall, where his dad was playing with the baby... so, take heart knowing it isn't just you!Beautiful Camouflaged Messhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17648096506121680946noreply@blogger.com
