Pretty sure this was my favorite routine last night. And "flapper hip hop" or "hip hop charleston" or whatever you want to call it- it's my new favorite dance genre.

Did you see me?! I was in most of the shots of all the judges in the right corner with a black and cream striped shirt. It was so cool to see it live! I love Amy and Fik-Shun, and their dance was great and suited to their vibrant personalities, but I think the 30's Hip Hop was my favorite, too. Top 3: 30's Hip Hop, Hobo Dance, and Quickstep. Honorable mention to the Ladder Dance. They gave Curtis too much of a hard time.
ReplyDeleteAlas, I didn't see your Facebook status about being in the audience until after it was over, so I didn't see you. Totally agree with you about Curtis- I'm still pulling for him to win the whole thing! But it's important to hold them all to high technical standards, which is why they let BluPrint go (thank heavens). And I was so relieved that the Quickstep was so good! Maybe they can finally quit referring to it as a "curse" now...
